Export is a read-only projection of the current DesignDocument. Retake checks the facts that can break delivery, renders requested Pages at their exact dimensions, and leaves the active page, selection, and command history untouched.
Preflight blocks export when a visible ImageLayer references bytes that are not available. It warns about cropped images, text or shapes outside the page, and other conditions that may be intentional but deserve review.
Render exact Pages
Select the Pages you need and verify their dimensions. The export renderer projects each Page directly rather than activating pages in the editor. This avoids selection changes and accidental command-history mutations during delivery.
Use predictable filenames
Name files with campaign, channel, placement, and revision information that another person can understand. Avoid relying on download order to explain which PNG belongs to Feed, Story, or a listing slot.
Inspect the ZIP manifest
Multi-page delivery includes PNG files and a human-readable manifest that lists page name, dimensions, and filename. Open a sample of the delivered images at actual size before handing them off.
Yes. Export reads requested Pages directly and does not activate them or mutate the DesignDocument.
Does crop always block export?
No. Crop and overflow are warnings because they can be intentional. Missing bytes for a visible image block export.

Your cookie choices
Necessary cookies and similar storage keep sign-in, security, and private workspace recovery working. Retake uses Google Analytics Consent Mode for basic website and product measurement; you can separately allow analytics storage and Google One Tap.
Choosing necessary only keeps analytics and advertising storage denied. Google Analytics can still receive cookieless measurement signals, but Retake does not send prompts, files, project identifiers, or card details.
