Start your first editable marketing project

Learn how Home, Result Skills, Layouts, Projects, sign-in, and the layered Canvas fit together in your first Retake Design project.

Quick answer

Understand the boundary before taking action.

Start with the marketing result you need and choose how to create it. Full image keeps artwork and lettering together; Editable design provides separate text and visual layers. Both can be refined on Canvas.

Begin on Home

After Google sign-in, Retake opens Home. Reopen recent work through Projects, use Result Skills when you know the finished deliverable, or choose a Layout when you want editable structure.

Complete the input contract

A Result Skill lists required facts, source images, target placements, and the designs it will produce. If an example image contains words, it is reference-only: upload a clean visual so your headline, body, and CTA remain native editable Text Layers.

Preview, then apply

Review the proposed result before adding it to Canvas. Full image keeps lettering and artwork together as one image; Editable design adds separate text and visual layers. Use text controls for native text, and a separately priced Focus Edit for words or objects inside an image. Applying a result can be undone.

Keep editing on Canvas

Select text, images, shapes, or groups directly. Move and resize layers, revise native text, or use Focus Edit for content inside an image. Add pages, save a Version, and export. Export warnings are advisory; missing image files must be restored before downloading.
